Self Care and Decolonization; Imagining and Building a Better Tomorrow” will feature a workshop called “Self Care = Self Love” led by Advancing Arts Forward founder and facilitator Yura Sapi, which will invite every participant to create “a personalized plan for your own self care as self love,” (AAF website). From there, members of the Underepair Design Team will lead guided drawing and journaling activities to invite each participant to identify where white supremacy lives in both our bodies and our theatre, and imagine what a more anti-racist existence and industry might look like. We hope our participants leave feeling refreshed, connected, and empowered to help bring that better tomorrow to life.
